Kathleen is a trailblazer who founded Auroros Inc., a 12 year old company providing Cyber Business Risk as a capstone that harnesses the following themes into actionable approaches: Cyber Vulnerability, Enterprise Architecture, Business Risk, IT Portfolio Management, and Identity Theft Management. Other specialties include Strategic Planning, Market Analysis, and Recruitment/Employee Retention. She is an innovative entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience who has focused on advising and managing Fortune 500 clients, medium sized businesses and non-profits, and portfolios of technology services to federal agencies.

Kathleen’s well-defined efforts and development of community alliances has produced multi-million and multi-billion dollar strategies for consistently successful outcomes.  Kathleen is a 2013 Fellow of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership, a 2013 Triangle Business Journal Women in Business Inspiration Award Winner, and a 2016 Leadership NC Candidate.

Kathleen Volandt is a service disabled, Gulf I era U.S. Army veteran with a Bachelor's and Master's from Virginia Tech. Kathleen lives the Virginia Tech motto Ut Prosim: “That I may serve.”  Kathleen supports a number of charities, is an outspoken advocate for veterans and a champion for helping women and children overcome difficult situations. She speaks publicly on a variety of topics, gives motivational speeches, and has been a speaker at various schools and colleges, testified to Congress and appeared on CNN, NBC Nightly News, Fox News and NPR.
