Kathleen Volandt, President/CEO

Kathleen is a fearless advocate serving our country, state and local community. She has served on numerous state-wide boards of directors, is a 2016 Leadership North Carolina Alumnus, a 2013 Fellow of the North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership, and a 2013 Triangle Business Journal Women in Business Inspiration Award Winner. Kathleen is the Founder and President of Auroros Inc. Her company has been awarded contracts to advise federal agencies in technology portfolio management, streamlining federal budgets and creating business strategies to manage nearly $40 billion in assets. Today, Auroros is diversified into three divisions, all working to solve some of our community’s biggest issues including Cyber-Business Risk and Identity Theft Management. Kathleen is an innovative, no-nonsense, high integrity entrepreneur with more than twenty years of experience creating strategic plans, marketing plans and developing community alliances that have consistently produced high yield returns. In 2015, after the giant OPM hack, Auroros became a proud Independent Associate of LegalShield and IDShield. In 2017, the senior Auroros team became Go Small Biz Certified to help protect and grow small businesses across America.

Kathleen Volandt is a service disabled, Gulf I era U.S. Army veteran. Through recovering from serious injuries, she has embraced a holistic lifestyle to truly understand nutrition, exercise and a profound appreciation for the outdoors. This enlightenment has given her the freedom of hiking around the world, completing a marathon in Dublin Ireland and tracking gorillas in the Rwandan mountains. With a Bachelor's and Master's from Virginia Tech. Kathleen lives the Virginia Tech motto of Ut Prosim: “That I may serve.” Kathleen is a staunch advocate for veterans, small businesses and being a champion for healing the body and helping women and children overcome difficult situations. She speaks publicly on a variety of topics, gives motivational speeches, and has been a speaker at various schools and colleges, testified to Congress and appeared on CNN, NBC Nightly News, Fox News and NPR.
