Mary Moore M. Ritchie, Business Advisor

In 1969, when Mary Moore founded Court Reporting Services, Inc. she had very little knowledge about running a business and sought to educate herself by taking numerous hours of classes on management training, leadership development, accounting and other business subjects. As a result, she built her business to a million dollar business which sold in 2005.

In 1985, when she was awarded the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year, she owned and operated three businesses: Court Reporting Services, Perfectly Legal and Sir Walter Executive Suites.

After a number of years running a small business, Mary Moore was asked to be a presenter and workshop leader at various national association business meetings. She wrote a manual for the National Executive Suite Association on personnel management practices. For two years, she taught in the Meredith College Continuing Education Department, "Running a Profitable Small Business." In addition, she was the keynote speaker at several annual meetings
